Sorry, sorry I haven't updated our site in the last couple of days. I just got majorly lazy! Not a good thing to have happen to one's self. Maybe I can blame the weather, maybe not!
It's Tuesday again, no one wanted my jar of hot peppers. Like I said, they were just opened and have been in the refrigerator. Nothing is wrong with them besides being way too hot for my mouth!
Recipe Tuesday
I usually don't get the cookbook out, but here is a recipe I made for the first time a couple of days ago and boy was it good!
Fettuccini Alfredo
1/3 cup half-and-half, light cream
1 Tb margarine or butter
4 ounces plain fettuccine
1/3 cup grated Parmesian cheese
Cracked Black Pepper
Allow half-and-half and margarine to stand at room temperature 30 minutes
Meanwhile, cook fettuccine 8 to 10 minutes or till tender but still firm. Drain. Return fettuccine to warm saucepan; add half-and-half, margarine, and Parmesian cheese. Toss gently till fettuccine is well coated. Transfer to a warm serving dish. Sprinkle with pepper. Makes 4 side dish servings.
Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or broccoli if you wish! Hmm good!
Freebies for the Day
Costco is offering a free sample of Ziploc Fresh Shield freezer bags. You do not have to be a Costco member in order to request this sample (a membership number is optional to enter in the form).
Another great gift pack offer from SC Johnson's Right@Home website: Step into Spring Gift Pack . It's a Nature's Source Tote Bag. They are mailing the gift pack out to the first 18,000 people who request it and qualify. They will be mailed out by May 15.
Funny Quote
Whatever women do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. Luckily, this is not difficult.
Money Saving Tip
Keep an idea notebook in your pocket. I’ve wasted countless amounts of time and money simply because I’ve forgotten things in my head. Instead of relying on my memory, I keep a small notebook with me to jot down ideas and things I need to remember, then I check it regularly throughout the day. This keeps me from forgetting to pick up milk and having to backtrack ten miles, for starters.
